Verizon. CUSTOMER SERVICE FAIL!!!
3 weeks ago, I purchased a replacement phone for my piece of crap,
freebie, with service phone, for $50. "Battery not compatible." The
phone works but it gives me that message and won't recharge. So, I
took it back tonight hoping Verizon would do their part to make an
8-year customer happy. Boy, was I wrong.
would sell me a new one for $40. Wrong! Still works in old phone. And
now my $50 replacement, piece of crap phone is now $90. So, I told them I
want my money back. 90 is not the new 50 in my world. No can do Mr. "I
just want a cheap phone" Tolley. They negotiated the new battery down
to $20. Really? No free battery? Asked for the manager. Mr. playbook shows up. No way in Hell they were losing
money on me today. He even went as far as saying they did me a favor
by ONLY charging me $50 for the replacement phone. It was really a
$200 phone. Sure it is. It's just like an iPhone except for any cool feature
at all. Unless you think calling someone is a cool feature. Long story short, I asked point blank "Are you really willing to lose
me as a customer, over $20?" He never answered the question, but I now
have hot-face, no new battery and still $50 into a phone that doesn't
work. Way to go Verizon! $20. Really?
